Overview

Journey to one of the most remote regions of Nepal — the trans-Himalayan Dolpo plateau, setting of Peter Matthiessen's 'The Snow Leopard'. Visit the turquoise Shey Phoksundo Lake (3,611m), the ancient Bon monastery of Shey Gompa, and high alpine grasslands. Requires a restricted area permit and a genuine spirit of adventure.
