How long does it take?
Most itineraries run 12–14 days round trip from Lukla, including acclimatisation days at Namche Bazaar and Dingboche.
How fit do I need to be?
You don't need to be an athlete, but you should be comfortable walking 5–7 hours a day on uneven terrain. Train with hikes and cardio for 2–3 months beforehand.

What it costs
A guided trek typically includes permits, lodges, meals, a licensed guide and porter support. Add flights to Lukla and travel insurance with high-altitude cover.
